You’ve Got To Kidding!

Last week the world was all abuzz about a new drug approved by the FDA. No, not a cure for cancer or blindness. Not a vaccine for Equine Infectious Anemia. But a drug to help fat dogs lose weight.

How stupid can people be? Why would you spend lots of money, (and you can bet that this drug won’t be cheap!) for a drug that helps your dog lose weight, when you can SAVE money by feeding it less?

Weight loss in animals is simple. Feed less, exercise more. That’s it. No pills, liquid shakes or sauna suits. Put less in the bowl and get off the couch and play with your pet more. Hey, if you put less on your plate, and walk the dog more, you will lose weight too. What a concept………

I recently got married and moved from home with my mom and dad to a home with my husband. My mom constantly fed my dogs table food as well as snacks like cheetos and photo chips. Everyone would always tease that my dogs, toy poodles, were chubby. Once we (me and the dogs) moved into our own house and they started eating only dog food and the rare treat of a pepperoni as well as going on walks on a regular basis the weight just fell off of them. Everyone keeps saying how they can’t believe how much smaller they each are…and we even didn’t actively try to get them to loose weight!

I’ve seen fat dogs in my life, but never owned one. It has to be the ultimate in something, I’m not certain what though.

All of our dogs have always been of good weight it’s me that is fat.If I could get the dogs to watch what I eat like I watch them well Doggie Daddy would be slim and trim too.

The FDA is corrupt. Look at all the money they spend on campaigns to rush things through. They own the presidency and most of the congress and senate WBR LeoP

Leo,
there is some truth about the FDA being corrupt. As with all government agencies many things are decided because of politics not good science or moral values. Its a shame, but that is the way of the big dollar….
