This week’s big beer event is the Michigan Beer Guide Celebrates 10-years of Home-brew Beers and Michigan Public Act 146 of 1997 – 2007. President Carter signed a bill making home-brewing legal on October 14, 1978 but it took another 19 years for the state of Michigan finally did the same. Any Michiganders wouldn’t be too surprised that it did take 19 years to jump on board but this isn’t a political blog. A group that included Rex Halfpenny in a letter writing campaign was able to make home-brewing legal. Here is the post on MBG to let you in on the official celebration.
