This place is one of my favorite beer stores. I can’t think of another that has the amazing selection that they have. You walk in and, once you know the place, you dart straight to the back. You’ll walk up on stacks of sale beers on display to your left. To the right, are a line up of cooler glass doors with several choices of cold beer.

My favorite is probably the first aisle. You’ll notice some really top shelf beers from breweries all over the country/world - single 22 oz bottles that stack up on shelves just within reaching range. Glance over to the left to see sixers from various breweries. If you walk through the aisle, toward the south side of the store - the whole south wall there, is full of beer.. it’s overwhelming, yet amazing. Another aisle full of sixers, twelve packs and single bottles awaits. Toward the back of the store, the last aisle, are a very nice selection of beers from around the world. Not only is the selection amazing, but the prices are excellent. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Next time you’re girl talks you into a visit to the mall in Toledo, ask her to drop you off at Joseph’s - I guarantee you’ll be able to kill plenty of time in just the beer aisles alone, not to mention the HUGE selection of wine they offer.

What did I end up with tonight? A six of Magic Hat #9, Moylan’s Old Blarney Barley Wine and a Hoppin’ Frog Imperial Oatmeal Stout.

Next time pick up some Alesmith brews, this San Diego brewery puts out some of the best beers in the nation, without all the press that their neighbors in Escondido get (whom I also love). The Alesmith beers are in the upper picture, top shelf, the left 8 bottles.
Also, I just noticed the Bear Republic beers (upper picture, middle row, to the right of the Dragon’s Milk), all of which are top notch too. The Hop Rod Rye is a classic.

Don’t forget the surviving liver tissue and brain cells that you might have to ration ;^) Look on the label to see if they remembered to add the MI $.10 deposit, which tends to keep some good breweries out of this state. Did the Moylans have the MI deposit? Too many breweries don’t think about it and print up 70,000 labels, keeping them out of this state until they sell out of their labels.
