Strong Beer Month in San Francisco

Date February 7, 2008

I heard about this event called Strong Beer Month while listening to a podcast from Craft Beer Radio  and had to look into it. It is a collaborative effort between two San Franciscan breweries called The 21st Amendment and Magnolia Pub and Brewery. It is called Strong Beer Month because the lowest ABV beer is 8.5%. If you drink all twelve you get a commemorative glass. Luckily they only have twelve beers(more would have been fine) available because even in a leap year February is a short month. I hope some MI breweries will find this inspirational. Good things come out of breweries working together, e.g. Dark Corner. For more information click here.

Thanks for the heads-up (pun intended). I am intimately familiar with both these fine establishments and shall partake.
