    St. Patrick’s Day Factoids:

    - St. Patrick was born in Britain (not Ireland)
    - New York is home to the longest running civilian parade in the world - close to 15,000 participants are expected this year.
    - In the United States, it’s customary to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day. But in Ireland the color was long considered to be unlucky.
    - Chicago is famous for turning the Chicago River green with dye on St. Patrick’s Day. Forty pounds (18 kilograms) are used, enough to turn the river green for several hours.
