Founders Beer Dinner @ Big Bear Lodge

Attention all Downriver Michigan Beer Lovers. Big Bear Lodge in Flat Rock is having a Founders Beer Dinner on Thursday, April 24 from 7-9 p.m.

Kevin and I attended one of Big Bear’s first Beer Dinners in September. The featured brewery was Arbor Brewing Company and (to honor the beginning of football season) the food was gourmet tailgating fare. One of the most memorable dishes was the parmesan encrusted chicken wings which Kevin has since learned how to replicate at home. Matt and Renee Greff were on hand to talk about their beer and the various food pairings. It was a great time. While we were there I joined their e-mail list to be notified of future beer tastings and events, which is how I found out about this one.

Kevin and I are planning on going to this. The price is $42.50 per person for an excellent five course meal with one beer pairing per course. I am hoping they will be nice enough to give me a discount since I can’t partake in the beer tasting.
