Merchant’s Spring Tasting - June 8th in Dearborn, MI
May 29, 2008
Merchant’s in Dearborn is probably my favorite beer store. They have an awesome selection and if they don’t have something that you want, Annette will go out of her way to get it for you. They have wine and beer tasting events from time to time, and from what I’ve heard the beer, wine and food are all pretty awesome and worth the ticket price. Here’s a list of some of the beer they’ll have available for tasting:
Bell’s Hopslam, Stone Arrogant Bastard & Smoked Porter, Sam Adams Irish Red, Atwater Block Dirty Blonde & Vanilla Java Porter, Detroit Brewing’s Detroit Dwarf, Affligem Dubbel & Tripel, Paulaner Pils & Hefeweizen, Anchor Porter & Summer, Avery Salvation & Reverend, Duvel, La Chouffe, Sam Smith Organic Cider, Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA, etc.
They’ll also be a special release tasting @ 4:30 p.m. of 7 unique and new beers from Italy. None have been seen here before. Two of the beers have been aged in Barbera wine barrels, one is actually made with Grenache grape must, one is a chocolate beer, one is a chestnut beer, one is brewed with tea and the last one is a spectacular saison.
If you’re heading out to this tasting - stop by one of the beer pouring stations and say hi, my wife and I will be some of the volunteer pourers for the event.
