San Francisco Beer Store

Date May 23, 2008

I normally talk about Michigan beer but this store is too cool to not post. Also, I wanted to check if people in San Francisco are still reading the blog. I got this from John Mabley  who is in my Craft Beer in Michigan yahoo group. It is a link to a beer store in San Francisco. For any former Michiganders that now reside in SF, I did notice that they have Jolly Pumpkin at this store. It is one of the best breweries in the state and you should give one a try.

Wow….This store has nothing on beer stores in the Northwest…Although it’s nice to find a place that actually sells a few good beers in downtown SF.

    http://www.liquidsolutions.biz/main/ – 750 Beers
    http://www.belmont-station.com/beers_css.html – Over 1000 beers
http://www.bottleworks.com/default.htm – Not sure how many, but I would put this place as one of the best beer stores in the world.

I know Michigan has some pretty fine brews…but I don’t think any place compares to the beervana of the Pacific Northwest :-) 38 breweries in Portland, Oregon alone!

Eric, we plan on getting out to Oregon within the next few vacations. We have been talking for years about a brewery tour from Seattle to SF with Portland as a major stop. We should do it before every airline starts charging for luggage. I have a feeling I would be coming back with some extra goodies.

Good to hear from you “Freddy”. I was wondering if you were still out there.

My beer is bigger than your beer, my beer is better than yours!

I’m a former Michigander who is now a Bay Area resident. I stumbled onto this post while searching for a place to buy the Jolly Pumpkin beers I sadly miss. Thanks for posting it.
