Anheuser-Busch and InBev Boycott Started

Date July 30, 2008

To be honest, I didn’t want to write about the InBev buyout of Anheuser-Busch. It’s not so much a story about beer but about business and a sign of the times that we live in today. However, a story posted on our Yahoo group (Craft Beer in MI)  made me change my mind. It is written by Roger Simmermaker from HowtobuyAmerican.com . He […]

Michigan Summer Beer Festival - best day of summer!

Date July 28, 2008

Another Michigan Brewers Guild Annual Summer Beer Festival is past and I’d have to say it was another awesome event.   I got in an hour early this year, and took a walk around all the tents to see the new layout.  This year, the tents were even more spread out, with one additional tent added.   […]

Date July 26, 2008

Christine Nass, a fellow beer enthusiast, has been giving me a few great story ideas. One of the stories that Chris passed along was from the Michigan Beer Guide. The city of Chelsea actively seeking a micro-brewery. I wish other cities would do this. Chris works for the company, Vanston/O’Brien Inc., that is renovating this particular property. The building is about 4 thousand square feet. Here is what […]

Michigan Beer Month Celebration @ 129 Lounge

Date July 17, 2008

Maybe you’re so upset about the buy-out of Anheuser- Busch by InBev that you can’t drink another A-B product. Maybe, you want to try and support a struggling state by buying local from Michigan Breweries. Maybe you love craft beer and want to try a beer you might not have had before. If any of these statements apply to you, I’ve got the […]
