Backyard BBQ @ Corner Brewery

Date July 31, 2008

When:  Sunday, August 3, 2008 4 p.m.  - 8 p.m.
Where:  Corner Brewery - Ypsilanti, MI

What:  Please join us for our first annual Backyard BBQ and Pig Roast.  Featuring:

MUSIC - John’s Afterhours Experience – this rock and blues band that has been all over Michigan this month and we were lucky enough to secure them to provide the sounds for our BBQ.  If you would like to check them out to http://www.myspace.com/johnlacross

FOOD – We’ll be roasting up a local pig that was humanely and sustainably raised at the Ernst Farm in Ann Arbor – and whose diet included delicious spent grain from our Ann Arbor brewery!  Farmer Dave at Steinhauser Farms (which uses the spent grain from the Corner) hooked us up with 20 pounds of potatoes for MoMo’s soon-to-be-famous Pesto Potato Salad.  We also picked up some sweet corn, bell peppers, garlic, and fresh herbs a the Farmers Market.  This is a feast you will not want to miss.

GAMES – No BBQ would be complete without some backyard games.  So we hope you’ll join in on some friendly games of corn-hole, grain bag hop, and three leg races.

BEER (of course) - Now I saved the best for last.  At 4:00pm we will be releasing Ypsitucky Love – a special version of our Espresso Love Breakfast Stout aged with Bourbon barrel wood chips.  This is a very limited batch so get here early.

And don’t forget,  Sundays are Mug Club days.  Mug Members receive their beer at happy hour prices all day long (excluding Ypsitucky Love)  So if you are not a member yet Sunday is a perfect day to join.

Cheers and hope to see you all there!

So bummed we can’t make it! We are starting our three-day brewery orgy around Michigan that day :) Also, I don’t eat pork (not at all Kosher) and it would be soooooo tempting to smell the yummy, cooking pork :)
