Summer Beer Fest Goes Green
July 24, 2008
Here is a cool article that my cousin emailed me. It is from Mlive.com about plans to make this year’s Michigan Brewer’s Guild Summer Festival a little more Earth Friendly. Here is a link if you want to check it out.

Nice find. Great to see brewers being ‘earth friendly’ and encouraging us beer enthusiasts to do the same.

It was an awesome night, and I loved the fact that they had separate containers for food scraps, 1 & 2 recyclables and so on. Way to go, MBG!

Last night was indeed special! Only issue: Water!!! They ran out too soon at all the stations. Hopefully today will improve. With that said, the beers were incredible!!! Amazing stuff!!!

It was a great night. Perfect weather and great beer, you can’t ask for much more out of a festival. My wife might have been the one that drank the festival out of water.
Top tast of the night was Founder’s with their Bourbon Red’s Rye. The Grand Crew was a Saison and it was great. OG brought a lot more beer than listed. They had a special Porter with vanilla and coffee that was great.
Jolly Pumpkin was great. They were serving their Perseguido. It doesn’t come out til this Friday(Aug 1st) and getting a taste of it was a real treat. It will go fast. Rumor has it that people are flying into Michigan to get their hands on this beer. I can see why.
Thank you for comments. Craig, it was great to run into you last night. Patti, any fan of MST3K can comment on this blog at anytime.

You really can’t beat MST3k AND beer….
Maybe it was me, but I did wish that they had had more food choices!
