Arbor & Corner Announces Holiday Schedule

Arbor and Corner has just released their Holiday event schedule.

Sarah and I go to The Shadow Art Fair every year and it is a great place to purchase locally made Christmas gifts. Also, Espresso Love, one of my favorite Michigan beers, comes out on December 1st and they are having a release party to celebrate. Here is a list of events from the Arbor newsletter.

Corner Brewery – The Original Downtown Ypsilanti Fall/Winter Farmers’ Market - Nov 24, Dec 8, Dec 22nd2009 3-7 PM 

Come support and celebrate fresh, local and healthy food in your community. The bar WILL be open so you can also partake in our tasty local brew.  We are extending Happy Hours to begin at 3pm on market days! The market accepts EBT, credit cards, market dollars, and cash. ABC Brew Pub – Terminator Release Party Nov 25, 2009 06:00 PM

Join us as we kick off the holiday season with the much anticipated release of our Terminator Dopplebock and get $2 off growlers to take with you for turkey day. Free for Arbor and Corner mug club members and$15 for guests.  Yes, we’ll be passing around the boot!

Corner Brewery – Espresso Love Release Party – Dec 1, 2009 6:00 PM

Espresso Love Breakfast Stout is back! From 6-8 pm there will be finger food and plenty of love in the Lounge. Release Parties are free for mug club members, $15 for non members. Espresso Love shirts will be 15% off and growler fills of Espresso Love are $2 off for all who come to the party.

ABC Brew Pub – Beer Tasting Class – World Beer Tour  Dec 3, 2009 6:00 PM

Join brewery owner Rene Greff for a fun and fast-paced look andtaste of the classic beer styles from around the world. This 3 hour class will cover the history, geography and beer traditions of the entire planet!  We’ll taste 10 classic beer styles, learn how they came to be, and identify major flavor components while learning basic evaluation techniques and vocabulary. Class will be held in the Tap Room at Arbor Brewing Company in Ann Arbor. Course fee includes all beer, sandwiches, and a keepsake tasting glass.  This course is being offered through the Washtenaw Community College Lifelong Learning program. We’ll be drinking beer so you gotta be 21. Advance registration required.

Corner Brewery – Winter Shadow Art Fair – Dec 5, 2009 12:00 PM

4thannual Winter Shadow Art Fair. One day, 40 local artists, 9000 gallons of beer. Find unique gifts for the holidays, support local artists, listen to great music, and do it all with a beer in your hand. The Shadow Art Fair is a juried event that allows local artists to exhibit and sell their works within a comfortable, friendly, and supportive setting. This one-day, 12-hour event features local music, featured brews, and other special activities to add a distinct flavor and sense of community to this creative showcase. Noon to midnight.

ABC Brew Pub – WCBN’s Free Movie Night  – Dec 9, 2009 08:30 PM 

Doors open at 8:30pm, movie begins at 9pm.  Decembers movie is This is Spinal Tap. In 1982 legendary British heavy metal band Spinal Tap attempt an American comeback tour accompanied by a fan who is also a film-maker. The resulting documentary, interspersed with powerful performances of Tap’s pivotal music and profound lyrics, candidly follows a rock group heading towards crisis, culminating in the infamous affair of the eighteen-inch-high Stonehenge stage prop.

ABC Brew Pub – Beer Tasting: Holiday Specialties – Dec 10, 2009 7:00 PM 

Given our love of beer and our passion for celebration, it should come as no surprise that our everyday drink also takes on a more festive air during the holidays. Everyday ales are transformed with fruit, herbs and spices. Standard recipes are beefed up for bigger, stronger, heartier, or hoppier versions of everyday favorites. Come and join us as we pair a couple dozen of our favorites with an appetizer buffet and a door prize drawing. Tastings run 7-9 PM. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 if purchased on tasting day. ABC Brew Pub and Corner Brewery – Holiday Sale – Dec 16, 2009

We know that the holidays are hectic and money’s tight this year so we’re going to make your shopping a little easier with a Pub Holiday Sale.  All day on Wednesday, December 16th we will be marking down all of our gift items (clothing, glassware, mug club memberships, gift sets, gift cards, and even all of our carry-out beer) between 10% and 50% off! We’re also releasing a special rat pad brew at 6pm and extending happy hour until 9pm!

Corner Brewery – Brew Year’s Eve Bash – Dec 31, 2009 08:00 PM 

This New Year’s Eve Corner Brewery is throwing a Beer Bash that you will not want to miss!! There will be music (entertainment to be announced), and a special Rat Pad will be tapped just before midnight to toast in the new year. The festivities start at 8pm and go til 1am. No Cover

Join your friends at ABC for a casual, no hassle Brew Years Eve celebration. No cover charge. We’ll have a great DJ dinner specials available in addition to our regular menu.  We’ll also be releasing a different keg of small-batch celebratory beer every hour from 8:30pm-11:30pm
