I too fell down after that last ice storm. However, I fell on my butt, in front of my daughter's middle school, on my way to substitute teach. Want to see 100+ kids laugh like they just heard THE best comedian.....and then there is the one kid who has her head in her book bag because she CANNOT believe I just did that "to her"!! WHAT?? Heck, I was ... lessee, Feb. 1992 ... still 30, in the Navy, in uniform, on an Air Force base outside of Denver walking to class with a bunch of other sailors, and did the same thing ... immediately <i>after</i> we had intentionally slid across the stuff! No one laughed, and I wasn't the only one down either. Dozens of people have been in local emergency rooms in the last few days for ice slip and falls. I checked for work. So that doesn't make you a Klutz. Breaking your toe on a giant, always been there, couch while walking through my living room, THAT makes you a klutz. But as you know. It's genetic. (I'm always tripping, crashing into things.) I gotta say, I don't remember if I participated except as a specatator after that. Basically, I am no dam# good at any sport involving a ball or a puck. You won't usually catch me running unless someone is chasing me. And to be honest, about the award, I was at least in some way honored. Hey, people bothered to get out the vote :)!
