Happy Birthday to Rebecca!
It is my sister’s b-day today. I think she’s going to blog about it over at Blonde Highlights. But…I had already planned a little somethin’ somethin’.
Here’s me, her pesky, seriously much younger sister planting a kiss on her forehead on X-mas Eve (The photo’s grainy. Everything in 1973 was grainy.) That’s our Grandma Gorrell in the background doing what she loved to do best…watching us and giving us presents. She was the bestest bestest bestest.
(We were SOOOOO loving our nation’s capital at this particular moment.)
In addition to it being her birthday, everyone has to be super nice to her today because she had to get up at like (- 7) 0′clock this a.m. to cover this storm!

at least they didn’t make her stand outside Tim Horton’s on her birthday in the storm today! Maybe they’ll spring for a massage and a nice sauna visit to take the edge off!

I’m just glad to see you did such a “sweet” sister post instead of a hahaha you’re old post that many sisters would have done. of course, my sister would also know better than to be mean. being the big sister has its advantages. Sure hope my sister doesn’t read this.

Ha Phyllis. My sister and I don’t ever really fight. There’s just the two of us. Also, we’re less than 2 years apart so the “over the hill” gag doesn’t work ‘cuz I’m right behind her
