End of an Era
Big changes afoot in my household. Baby teeth are making way for big teeth, training wheels for two-wheelers. And I may have to officially turn in my Soccer Mom membership card. It was time. With gas prices at eleventy dollars a gallon and me with a nearly 100 mile round trip commute, something had to give.
Sooo… we’ve gone from this…

To this…

Ta da!!! Take THAT Saudi Arabia!

I hear ya, for sure! We traded in my Durango back in January for the 300. It is much better gas mileage. And besides, I have TWO kids…..why was I driving a vehicle that could transport 8?

Exactly. I really feel like we ended up with a van because I just figured that’s what you’re supposed to do. It was nice when they were teeny for stroller transport, but that’s about it really.

You’re moving up in the world. As someone who drove a minivan for 11 years, I still ask myself why (other than making it easier to haul christmas trees). and while everyone else has a fun car, I STILL get the mom car (but at least it’s a cool mom car.
BTW–I’ve been having problems getting to the comments–when I click on, it says I’m on the comments page, but it doesn’t show the comments OR the add your two cents worth part.
