We were. 7th was at the intermediate, 8th and 9th in the Junior High. While at the BJHS when we were in the 9th the seventh graders came over and they closed the intermediate.

We we also the class that had to STAY at the elementaries an extra year and then the class that was dismissed at 1:30 for a year.

And Laura - no matter what upheaval you were going through you were always so sweet. You befriended this total nerd!

It's all a blur! Tami, Becky -- were we really at the Junior High in 8th grade? When were we at the Intermediate building? I think I remember an extended period of insanity -- lots of weird black clothes, sneeking away to concerts in Ann Arbor, thinking WAY too much about the opposite sex. (Thank God, my Emily doesn't seem to have inherited my skewed sense of style and constantly roaming eye, although we do have High School to look forward to, don't we?)
In all seriousness, I remember that being a time of personal upheaval -- painful, but necessary in order to start forging my sense of self. I guess it all turned out okay.

You're son stopped by and was so nice. And he is a tall one! We had a lot of fun at my sessions and if I get it together later today I'll post a pic or two. I heard good reviews from the kids who were at the law enforcement sessions too.

Plus the school gave us all a free apple pie as a thank you! Of course the family and I polished that treat off by the next day.

Matt said he stopped and said hi to you yesterday. He's wishing he would have gone to your session instead of the one he went to!

8th grade hmmmm I remember bermuda shorts and shopping at the Limited every week (using my babysitting money). School dances were fun and I'm trying to think who I had a crush on.....escapes me oh wait I'll check my yearbook---Craig Manz. Foxiest guy in 8th grade!

You'll do great at the 8th grade recognition--went thru it last year and I had NO IDEA it was the full blown gradutation style--YOWZA--but bittersweet.

I don't think our sub division streets can handle any more snow. I know I won't be able to get out now that I have a "car" :(

Tami thank you.. It's tricky playing to an 8th grade audience! I hope they think I'm "sick."

And of course LPC the grades didn't indicate the A+ brain you've got going there!

YOU were so cute in the 8th grade! Thanks for the comment on the recognition stuff. Writing a speech for an 8th grade audience is challenging.. awesome.. I'll take it. I'm just hoping for "sick."

And LPC clearly the grades didn't indicate your intellect! You're A+ all the way.

In eighth grade I was thinking..."Troy is so cute!"
You did such an awesome job at Ben's 8th grade recognition...you have nothing to be nervous about

I'm sure you were probably a bit om the proud side that someone was you for Halloween! That was very sweet of that there young'un ... 8th grade would have been 19seventy ... (math is hard!) ... 4 - 1975. Ford would have been President since Nixon resigned in early August, meaning Ford was probably thinking, "What the Hell just happened???" I was thinking about how to get through classes as easily as possible (a straight D student!), how to avoid gym, and who would be the first bully to beat me up once I got over to the high school the following September. At the end of that year, Barb graduated from high school and Carol was married two weeks later, so there was a ton of planning for the first events I was ever involved with.
