Angel Food Ministries
In the news (click here to see the Dec. 17 story): Bedford Church of the Nazarene, 7886 Douglas Rd., Lambertville, is the first church in the region to participate in a food distribution program called Angel Food Ministries. http://www.angelfoodministries.com
Angel Food Ministries is a nonprofit, non-denominational organization providing grocery relief and financial support throughout the United States.
What makes this assistance program unique is that families with any range of income can participate. There are no applications to complete, and no restrictions on who can participate. The ministry is able to support itself through quantity orders of the fresh and frozen groceries.
The payment deadline for the next delivery is this weekend. If you want to get involved but haven’t yet sent the fee, the $25 cash or money order or food stamps (EBT for Ohio and Michigan) for the basic package needs to delivered to the church between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday Jan. 14.
Pickups for the January order can be done starting at 11 a.m. Jan. 27 for those whose last names begin with A-L, and starting at 11:15 a.m. the same day for those whose last names begin with M-Z.
Orders and distributions take place once a month. For more information or upcoming dates, e-mail bedfordnazareneangelfood@hotmail.com or call (734) 847-6749.
