Festival of Frugality’s Ramen noodles theme

This week’s Festival of Frugality blog roundup was hosted by Broke Grad Student, who used Ramen noodles as his theme! FF always has great tips aimed at those who are living on a budget.

Here are some of the featured blog posts this week:

  • Go to the Ant presents How Being Cheap Can Hurt Your Career: “My rule of thumb is to look good enough to be pulled into a meeting with the executive staff.”
  • Less than a Shoestring presents The Art of Being a Gracious Houseguest: “A gracious host will make you feel that you and your wishes are at the center during your stay — but a wise guest is one who makes his host’s wishes his own, thereby honoring his host.”
  • Value for Your Life presents 25 Ways to Save Money: “Just knowing ahead of time what you and your family will be doing, and when, will have you subconsciously thinking about it–and any costs associated with the activities like parties, school trips, weddings, etc.”
  • Oh My Aching Debts presents Is Frugality Becoming Fashionable?: “I know I have found the most motivation and help from other personal finance bloggers. Somehow, its different reading about someone who is living it than it is listening or reading someone preach it to me.”
