Carnival of Personal Finance 4/14
Gather Little by Little hosted the April 14 edition of the Carnival of Personal Finance. Here are some of the posts you’ll find in the weekly showcase featuring financial bloggers from across the Internet:
- Blueprint for Financial Prosperity presents Curb Spending by Writing Goals on Credit Cards: “If you’re saving for a new television, write “New Television” on your credit cards. If you’re saving for your kid’s 529 plan, write “College Education” on the front of your credit cards.” This is a very creative idea for those who need reminders!
- Girls Just Wanna Have Funds presents Beneath the Iceberg: The Psychology of the Recession: “Now is the time to open up dialogue amongst friends and co workers in efforts to support one another and discuss alternative financial plans. You’d be surprised the comradeship that develops once people begin sharing fears and concerns and then discuss how to move past them.” My neighbor and I chatted yesterday about life in southeast Michigan … and congratulated ourselves for hanging in there!
- Sense to Save presents: Spend to save – items that can save you money in the long run: “it can be worthwhile to invest a little in reusable items, rather than disposable ones. You can be green and frugal at the same time, in many cases!” I recently bought a coffee pot with a reusable filter and also follow several other of these tips.
There’s dozens of really great posts this week, so click over to the showcase and spend some time seeking financial enlightenment!
