Coin-operated laundry services can really eat up one’s budget. And there’s not much you can do about the situation when you’re renting and there’s no laundry hookups in your apartment or home.

Before I moved into a home with laundry hookups, I’d do a balancing act every week with either carrying laundry to my parents’ home or going to the laundry service – depending on how much cash I had and how fast I needed the clothes done.

Well, here’s a deal for those of you who live in or near Carleton, Mich.::

Carleton Laundry, Tanning and Gaming Center, 12625 Grafton Rd., Carleton, 654-2025, has been advertising an Old Time Pricing Special for May.

Cold wash loads will be 25 cents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, during the month of May.

There will also be gaming and tanning specials during those hours.
