Memorial Day weekend picnic food sales are starting up. You’ll want to stock up your pantry and freezer with summer favorite foods while these deals exist (Hint: think BEYOND Memorial Day weekend when you are making your purchases.).

Here are the sales fliers that were in my home-delivery edition of The Monroe Evening News today:

• Rite Aid (sale starts Sunday) will have selected Adidas deodorant and body wash products free after rebate, Chex Mix at 88 cents and buy one get one free on Cover Girl products in a promotion that can be combined with a gift card rebate package.
• Busch’s Family Supermarket (sale starts Monday) will have chicken breast at $1.88 a pound, pork baby back ribs at $2.99 a pound and sweet corn at eight for $2.
• Wal-Mart has Faded Glory flag T-shirts at $2.50 each in kids’ sizes and $3 each in adult sizes; Heinz sweet relish at 88 cents; and if your Wal-Mart has a frozen food department, then Breyer’s ice cream is $2.50 a carton.
• Staples has a selection of shredders on the easy rebate program, and package deals on several digital cameras with memory cards and photo printer.
