Stuck in town? Things to do this weekend
Are you staying close to home this holiday weekend because of gas prices or the economy? Don’t worry about being bored. There are lots of things to do in Monroe or nearby cities this weekend, and many of them are free.

On Memorial Day Luna Pier’s ceremonies are at noon at First St. Park. Ashley Greer will sing the National Anthem, the Color Guard from the Legion Post will perform, the Mayor will be speaking, and our keynote speaker will be Kelly Greer (no relation) who’s lost her son in the Iraq war.
