Salena posts a tip on the comment board for the previous post; and it’s true: Angel Food Ministries will have a delivery site at Monroe Church of the Nazarene.

I heard about this awhile back; when the church was still in planning stages for this project. But it’s on the Angel Food site now, (Salena found the posting), which means it is official.

When it gets closer to when the Monroe church is able to take grocery orders, I will explain how this works. Angel Food has actually been available in Monroe County since December 2006, but the church that is involved is in Bedford Township. Given the travel times, some of us who live in Monroe found it more convenient to arrange for deliveries elsewhere.

I did some preliminary discussions with my co-workers at The Monroe Evening News regarding a story when Monroe Church of the Nazarene joined the network, but we had not yet gone too far into the planning stages for a news piece. We are waiting for the initial ordering date and other details from the church staff.

So … as they say in television news … stay tuned!
