Detroit newspaper employees offered buyouts
It’s not just the autoworkers who are working through corporate downsizing efforts.
The Detroit Media Partnership, which operates The Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News, is offering voluntary buyouts to its newspaper employees. See Detroit News story.

It’s not much of a buyout compared to what people in other Michigan companies are quibbling over – read the fine print:
Age 45 with at least 10 years of service and they get two weeks pay for every year of service.
