• To Be Debt Free presents CVS Extra Care Bucks: “I’ve heard of CVS’s Extra Care Bucks (ECB) program before, but I never really understood how it worked. It seemed very confusing and I wasn’t sure that I could take advantage of it.” It’s fair to say that on any given week or month, that a particular drugstore rebate program may or may not mesh with your family needs. That’s why I have rebate loops going at three stores that are in Monroe: CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens. But I did learn one before I started another.
  
• Financial Learn presents 15 Cheap Romantic Date Ideas: “Coffee shops are always a great place to go and relax and just talk peacefully about everything and anything.” Some of the Monroe County coffee shops host free live entertainment from time to time – check the bulletin boards at your favorite spots for those announcements. My husband and I also recently discovered the cheap matinee prices at the cineplex in Southgate.
• My Good Sense presents Make Your Own 100 Calorie Snacks: “I still buy everything I would normally buy at the store but instead of eating the snacks straight from the box, I divide the package up into small 100 calorie bags.” I’ve talked about this before. Have you thought about how cheaply you can buy a bag of Chex Mix (I have purchased them free with 50 cent doubled coupon on a $1 sale price in Monroe); and split up the contents into five or six sandwich bags?
• Monroe on a Budget presents Medications on the Go: “Buy the bigger bottles of your medications to store at home. Then restock your little “travel” bottle as needed.” And of course, you’re buying this stuff with all available coupons and rebates and tax savings plans.
