A lot of summer picnic products are on sale this week because of the July 4 holiday and retailers getting ready to clear out summer merchandise.

You’ll be smart to take advantage of these prices and stock up this week on any picnic stuff you’ll need later in the summer – Do you have a family reunion coming up? Any tailgate parties scheduled at your favorite sports venues? Or do you like backyard grill cooking?

Grocery and drug stores

• Gordon Food Service Marketplace has a coupon in the flier for $5 off $50 purchase good today through July 5. Featured items include blueberry pie, barbecue sauce, biscuit mix and potato salad.
• Aldi has cake mix at 79 cents, whipped topping at 79 cents, assorted potato chips for $1 and pork baby back ribs at $8.49 for 24 ounces.
• Walgreens has coupon specials on several candies and cookies. Coupon also in flier for Domino sugar. Plain tees for women and men are five for $10. Milk is $2.69 a gallon this week.
• CVS Pharmacy has several buy one get one free sales including Doritos, Kleenex and Xtra laundry soap. Red, white and blue accessories are 25 percent off.
• Kroger (sale starts Monday) has a mix and match pop sale at five 12-packs or 6-pack bottles for $11. Hot dog and hamburger buns will be 10 for $10. Johnsonville brats will be two for $7. The buy 10 participating products get $3 off offer also is still in effect this week.
• Meijer has Summer Bucks coupons for general merchandise in its flier for today through July 1. Another coupon on back of flier for indoor furniture. Pepsi products are on a bundle promotion. The 10 for $10 / get 11th item free sale includes Popsicles, Duncan Hines cake mix, Brown N Serve breakfast links and Minute Maid lemonade.

Department and specialty stores

• RexTV has a July 4 coupon sale. Featured items in the flier include a chest freezer and a dehumidifier.
• Elder-Beerman has 70 percent off all summer shop and floral garden serveware, lighting, outdoor furniture and related items. There is also a sale in the furniture department.
• Kohl’s has two-day sales today and Monday that include patriotic tees at $3.99 and sales on all dress and casual sandals.
• Big Lots has 25 percent off the Jennifer Farrell home furnishings collection. All patio furniture, patio rugs and beach towels are on clearance sales.
• Dunham’s Sports has Sunday and Monday doorbusters on paintballs, a bounce playhouse, and a trampoline.
• Target has a sale on a mountain bike and also on a convertible trailer to tow the little ones on the bike.
• Kmart has a summer sale with 50 percent off all summer apparel, and all tents and pools are on sale. 50 percent off selected kitchen textiles and tapletop items.
• Menards has specials on Cascade, Mr. Clean and Bounty. All Stanley hand tools, safety products and tool storage will be 20 percent off.
• Best Buy has TV and gaming bundle promotions. More than 80 TV series collections are on sale.
• Sears has all tires, all digital camerals and all outdoor furniture on sale. Sandals and summer dress shoes also are on clearance prices. Easy Living and Weatherbeater paint is on sale.
