Save-a-Lot’s NASCAR promotion
Attention southeast Michigan NASCAR fans – the race promotions are starting up at local businesses in preparation for the first big weekend at Michigan International Speedway (which is Father’s Day weekend).
Save-A-Lot, including the store at 15265 S. Dixie Hwy., Monroe Township, has a Pit Stop Challenge special where if you buy everything listed on a tailgate-friendly food list, you can get a special edition Carl Edwards shirt for $2.99 and enter a drawing for a Carl Edwards jacket. Yes, it is pretty funny seeing a photo in the sales flier of Carl Edwards pushing a grocery cart while he’s wearing his driver’s gear.
In the meantime, I do know of two NASCAR car appearances in Monroe that have been announced as promotions for the MIS race. I’m putting them in the MonroeTalks calendar for now, and waiting to see if there are any more such announcements. I will blog about those events as “free fan fun” closer to the race.
