Example of advanced drugstore shopping
Here is an example of advanced drugstore shopping:
- You are reading the sales fliers for sales of the week? Yes, I had to ask. There are people who don’t bother looking up what’s on sale before they make their shopping list.
- You are clipping your Sunday coupons? Good.
- You are participating in drugstore rebate programs? Very good.
- You’re signing up for manufacturer promotions? You’re a serious bargain-hunter if you got to this stage.
What can using all of these tricks do for you?
Here’s what it did for me today: Two bottles of Nature Made acidophilus for $2.79 out the door at CVS pharmacy. The normal retail value of that product is $10.29 a bottle.
- Look for the sale: this product line was 2 for 1 this week.
- Look for the Sunday coupon: I had $1 off coupon.
- Use the CVS Extra Care Bucks: I had $6.50 of them available to turn in.
Then I went to NatureMade.com and registered the product codes. By participating in the Wellness Rewards program, I can earn more coupons for that product line.
Yes, it does take time and effort to do those tricks.
But I like to make my money go as far as possible – don’t you?
