I’ve been looking around town for these tubs and found them today at Wal-Mart in Frenchtown Township: Rubbermaid Produce Saver tubs.

Yes, they are a little more expensive than your typical plastic tub. That’s because there’s some extra parts and engineering involved.

But did you save those coupons for this product that were in the Sunday newspapers a few weeks ago? It’s good for $1 off one container. I used two of my $1 off coupons when I bought these two Produce Saver tubs today. I will probably buy a third tub, but want to learn first through actual kitchen use which size would be most practical.

The way I see it – with food prices being the way they are, this purchase will pay for itself sooner or later. After all, there’s only my husband and I living at home now with the daughter off to college. We don’t eat up the fresh stuff as quickly as we used to. I may as well make it last as long as possible.
