Valley Family Farm in Milan is a CSA farm
Are you still looking for fresh produce options? I’ve blogged before about the St. Mary Organic Farm in Monroe. As it turns out, there’s also a Community Supported Agriculture Farm in Milan – the Valley Family Farm. I found it listed on the Local Harvest web site.
Here’s an explanation from the Valley Family Farm’s web site:
We are a CSA farm, how it works is the farmers are responsible for the planting and harvesting of the crops. Farm members (that would be you) buy a share of the harvest in advance of the growing season. Each week during the growing season, for 20 weeks, members will pick-up their share of the harvest at designated, times and locations.
You can buy any one of three different plans as appropriate to the size of your family.
Sign-ups have ended for 2008, but you can save and bookmark that information to refer back to in early 2009.
