Insurance tips for college-bound students
The Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation has some insurance tips for students who are heading off to college, and their parents.
I recently posted about a health insurance paperwork detail for college students – but OFIR also discusses renter’s insurance and vehicle insurance.
“College expenses are high enough and Michigan parents don’t need the unpleasant financial surprise of an insurance claim that is denied because their child isn’t properly covered,” says Kenneth Ross, OFIR commissioner.
You’ll find the agency’s article on page 5B of today’s print and e-editions of The Monroe Evening News or here at the OFIR web site.
