Here are the sales fliers that were in my home-delivery edition of The Monroe Evening News Thursday:

• Kohl’s has power hour sale hours from 3 to 11 p.m. tonight and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday on items that include most backpacks, all denim jeans and all kids’ shoes. You will get a $10 Kohl’s coupon for each $50 you spend Friday Aug. 1 through Sunday Aug. 3, coupons are good from Aug. 4 to 12. (Hint: coordinate your purchases accordingly if you are a Kohl’s fan.)
• Sears has night into day specials from 5 p.m. tonight to noon Saturday on several items such as boy’s River Blues fashions — but note the biggest savings go to those with a Sears card. All Craftsman power lawn and garden tools are also on sale.
• Home Depot has a special buy promotion on Shaw triple play premium texture carpet. All appliances $399 or more will be 10 percent off through Aug. 6. Select patio sets are on end-of-season clearance.
• Cabela’s in Dundee has a summer clearance sale that includes select cooking equipment (think power outage necessities), fishing rods and reels, fishing flies and crankbaits, and sleeping bags.
