Mothers of Multiples’ children’s sale is Saturday
The Monroe County Mothers of Multiples will hold its annual Children’s Re-Sale of Clothing, Toys and Equipment from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Scott St., Monroe. Admission is $1.
This event is like the Mom2Mom sales at other locations in southeast Michigan, but MCMOM was holding this sale before the Mom2Mom concept arrived in Monroe County.
As you might imagine, families that have twins and triplets tend accumulate a lot of kids’ stuff.

And being one of the first people in line at this sale is HUGE… I’ve gotten there before 10am to find it incredibly picked over!

And don’t forget to bring a laundry basket! That way you can throw in all the items you want to buy and it is easy to carry around the sale. It is much more effective to have to hands free when you set the basket down so that you can dig through the clothing piles!
I never go to a mom-to-mom sale without one!

You two will have to tell me if you run into each other at the sale! I think you’d get along well.
I’d do the introductions, but, um, my kid is in a different age bracket LOL.

I’m just hoping I can make it to the sale!!! I’ve got a baby shower that morning, too… we shall see. And thanks for the laundry basket tip, Shawna – very cool! Do you do that for other Mom2Mom sales, too?

I ALWAYS carry the laundry basket to the sales! It balances well on the hip and can hold much more stuff than a simple bag. My sister usually goes with me (with her own basket, of course), and she hunts for all the clothing sizes for one of my kids while I look for the other one. Then we meet up and go through the laundry baskets and decide what we want to keep before we hit the check-out line. It’s always worked well for us in the past!
