My coupon box is pretty thin right now

Attention coupon queens: you need to purge your coupon box of expired or almost expired manufacturer grocery coupons. There’s a huge stack of them that expired July 31 or are expiring this week.

My coupon box currently holds only half of the coupons it normally does, and my “cast off” pile to hand down to another family is also pretty limited both in quantity and choices.

If you’re fairly new to coupons, don’t panic. There are seasonal trends as to when the coupon packets are really good and when they are not. Just purge out the expired ones from your collection and look for whatever deals are taking place in the grocery stores, whether or not they are coupon promotions.

Coupon cycles are an example of why you need to have more than one crayon in your frugal living crayon box. There are times when one crayon works better than another.
