My Daily Dollars, who blogs from Dayton, Ohio, has written a post called Coupon Myths Debunked.

“Coupons Won’t Help Me Because I Cook From Scratch and Buy Local” If you’re like me, you’ve already cut your grocery bills by using your local farmer’s market. My mom keeps wanting to tell the farmers at her market that they could easily charge more! You may also save significantly by cooking rather than buying pre-packaged things. For me, my biggest coupon use comes for tolietries, soap, cereal, and dairy items.
Hey, if you can get toothpaste for free, which I did recently on a coupon + sale, why not?
Take advantage of enough of those grocery deals and here’s what you’ll notice: on the weeks when there seems to be more bills than paycheck, you will not also have to worry about setting aside cash for a grocery or drugstore run.
