Hi-Lite and Danny’s sales

Hi-Lite Supermarket in Monroe Township and Danny’s Fine Foods in Monroe had their grocery ads in Monday’s edition of The Monroe Evening News:

  • Danny’s has a steak sale with Porterhouse steaks at $8.99 a pound, T-bone steaks at $7.99 a pound and tender cube steaks at $3.99 a pound. The lunch box promotions include Boar’s Head chicken breast and tavern ham. Fresh Bartlett pears are 99 cents a pound.
  • Hi-Lite has several popular name brands on sale including Betty Crocker Helpers at 79 cents each, Campbell’s tomato and chicken noodle soup at two for $1, Fresh Express garden salad at 69 cents a bag and buy one get one free on Aunt Millie’s bread. Yes, Hi-Lite takes coupons but not double value. I still find it worth my trouble to drive to Monroe Township from time to time for their sales.
