El-Bee’s Community Day

Elder-Beerman at Frenchtown Square mall, 2121 N. Monroe St., will host its Community Day fundraiser Saturday Nov. 15.

Now, how is this promotion useful to families on a budget? If you plan to purchase some of your Christmas presents at El-Bee, then you can get a discount and your favorite charity can get a $5 donation from the store by shopping on the specified date.

Participating non-profit groups are selling Elder-Beerman discount booklets to support their organization. The booklets cost $5 and the charities keep 100 percent of the proceeds. The booklet has savings coupons that can be used at Elder-Beerman on Nov. 15, including one coupon $10 off any purchase of $10 or more and eight coupons good for up to 20 percent off selected merchandise.

A list of more than 45 participating organizations from Monroe County – including school clubs, church youth groups and Relay for Life teams – can be found at www.communitydayevent.com.
