AP: Shop like a pro
The Associated Press has a shopping tips story that’s been making the media rounds in the past few days: “Shop like a pro.”
You’ll find it on page 3D of Sunday’s print and e-editions of The Monroe Evening News; or, if you are not a subscriber to my paper I also found the article posted at pressconnects.com.
Many of the shopping tips are ideas that frugal living fans and bargain shopping queens have long been familiar with. But the article is a good roundup for those who are new to pinching pennies or who need a reminder about tactics they haven’t used recently.

Leave the kids at home. Besides sneaking things into the basket, they can distract you from being patient and figuring out what’s the best deal.
