Free winter coats Saturday at St. Joe Monroe
The Christian Service Commission of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroe, will hold its Fifth Annual Coat Drive from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday Nov. 15.
This coat drive is open to all adults and children in the Monroe area – just show up and pick out what you need from the tables for winter weather.
If you are hesitant to “take a hand out,” then poke through your own closet, pull out the winter coats and outerwear that is the wrong size for your family members, and drop them off to the church office ahead of time for the coat drive. Now you are trading winter pieces instead of just taking them.
Coats, hats, scarves and gloves can be dropped off from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, or from 9:30 a.m. to noon Fridays, at the church office
For information, call Lillian Williamson at 242-2343 or Emily Haynes at 384-6078
