Monroe sales fliers Dec. 16

Here are the sales fliers that were in my home-delivery edition of The Monroe Evening News today:

  • Elder-Beerman has a Wednesday only sale with 50 percent off “thousands of items.” There will also be additional senior discounts in effect for those age 55 and older with proof of age. Specific items in sales flier include petites sportswear, sweaters for her by Studio Works, many bathrobes, Hot Wheels toys, all quilts and bedspreads, and sweaters for him.
  • Meijer has a coupon in its flier that is good for 10 percent off general merchandise and apparel on Wednesday and Thursday. Items in the flier include selected holiday DVDs at $6.99 each, a Spalding basketball for $16.99 and 50 percent off Power Rangers and Pokemon action figures and play sets. Buy $20 in Nabisco cookies and crackers, get $10 off a sleepwear item.
  • Sears has a 72-hour sale Wednesday through Friday that includes 60 percent off all robes for him and her, 60 percent off young men’s Canyon River Blues tops, 50 percent off all flannel sheets, and all kids’ jeans on sale.
  • Toys R Us has a half off sale Wednesday that includes selected board games and selected video games. The half off sale also includes Indiana Jones vehicle and figure set, a Ridgewood Manor doll house and a Barbie vanity set.
  • Wal-Mart has Pillsbury cake mix at 88 cents, Crisco vegetable oil at $2.98 and Coca-Cola 2-liters at 88 cents. Hickory Farms meat and cheese gift box is $10.
  • Walgreens has a sale Dec. 17 thrugh 20 that includes buy one get 2 free Patriot jar candle and Hallmark white tissue paper. Other four-day coupons in the flier include Cottonelle bathroom tissue, Kleenex and Walgreens chap-aid. General Mills cereals $1.99 a box. Milk $2.49 a gallon, limit 2.
