Here are the department and specialty store fliers that were in my home-delivery edition of The Monroe Evening News today. You’ll find a lot of possibilities for holiday gifts and everyday family needs:

• Kohl’s has a two-day holiday sale today and Monday with 10 pages of savings in its flier. Selected styles of socks for her are 40 to 50 percent off. NCAA appparel for men is 50 percent off. Kids winter sleepwear and robes are 50 percent off. All toys are on sale including Dora’s Folding Kitchen and Star Wars action figures.
• Elder-Beerman has faux fur and fleece boots on sale this week. Men’s dress shirts and ties are 30 to 40 percent off. All crystal giftware is on sale.
• Target has Littlest Pet Shop VIPs at $9. A wood train play table is $59.99. Several bicycles are on sale. Hello Kitty table lamp is $15. Boys and girls graphic tees are $7.99 each.
• Meijer has buy two get one free on selected Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher Price items. All outdoor Christmas lighted decor is half off. Wilton Christmas baking supplies are 25 percent off. All skates and skateboards are 25 percent off. In addition, every $100 you spend on general merchandise can earn you grocery coupons.
• Sears has a sweater sale. All bras, sleepwear and robes are on sale. Mens’ jeans are on sale. Flannel sheet sets 50 percent off.
• Best Buy will post a deal of the day on its web site every day this week. Lots of TVs to pick from. Digital converters are in the sales flier. Free gift cards with purchase of seleccted software or video games.
• Menards has a sale on Grand Distinction interior pant. All Feit CFL light bulbs on sale. All laundry appliances on sale. 50-count LED light set at $3.99 each.
• Toys R Us has buy one, get one 50 percent off selected video games. Selected play kitchens and doll houses on sale. Sunday-Monday deals include Star Wars Transformers Millenium Falcon. Several bicycles are on sale.
• Big Lots has assorted Disney activity sets at $10 each. Kids’ recliner is $39.99. Assorted adult fleece at two for $8.
• Dunham’s Sports has Sunday and Monday doorbusteres that include NCAA tackle twill hoods, assorted golf clubs, quilted flannels and a table tennis set.
• Direct TV has a flier about its satellite TV services.
• TJ Maxx sales included boxed jewelry, wallets, spa bath and body sets, wooden toys and games.
• Durocher’s in Monroe has a flier with its kitchen and laundry appliance deals. Durocher’s also sells TVs. And look on page 6B of the newspaper to see the sofas,chairs, clocks, tables and lamps that are on sale.
• Carroll-Ochs Jewelers in Monroe has a holiday gift guide flier featuring amethyst, blue topaz and diamond jewelry; and also 30 percent off many men’s and women’s watches.
• Dick’s Sporting Goods has 15 percent off most basketballs, soccer balls and volleyballs. Coupons in flier for Nike and Adidas apparel, and also for athletic footwear.
• RexTV has coupons in its flier that you can use on any item. Selected TV purchases will give you a free DVD player.
• Dollar General has Bounty Basic paper towels at $6 for eight rolls. Folgers coffee $5.75 for country roast 34.5 ounce can. Huggies and Luvs diapers are on sale. By the way, Dollar General accepts manufacturer’s coupons and Michigan Bridge Card (food stamps).
