As the economy self-destructs, his debt-free lifestyle is gaining cachet.
“It is something we’ve been talking about for 20 years,” Ramsey told The Press. “We suddenly have been proclaimed by the media to be geniuses — the same ones that used to say we were idiots.”
But as people fret about their jobs and rein in spending, economists are raising flags about a slowing economy.
They call it the “paradox of thrift.”
