Here’s a rundown of the grocery specials I’m finding in my newspaper and mail today (I live in the 48162 zip code).

• Food Town in Monroe and Rockwood have frozen beef patties this week at $4.77 for a four-pound package. Bananas are 29 cents a pound. Valu Time sugar is $1.39 for a four-pound bag.
• Save-a-lot has Imperial margarine at two for $1, Banquet select recipes at $1 each and special offer in store for $5 off with purchase of $25 P&G products.
• Family Dollar has coupons in flier for Clorox bleach, Glad trash bags and Scott tissue.
• Hi-Lite Supermarket has Spartan sliced bacon at $1.79 a pound, Yoplait yogurt at two for 88 cents, Spartan microwave popcorn at 99 cents.
• Danny’s Fine Foods has head lettuce at 79 cents each, baby back spare ribs at $3.99 a pound, Jalapeno cheddar brats at $2.99 a pound.
