The Food Stamps Cooking Club blog
Here’s a blog I just found that’s for the really frugal food budgets: The Food Stamps Cooking Club.
The hostess lives in Nebraska. The blog topics include Angel Food Ministries, WIC, food commodities, farmer’s market coupons and recipes that use products commonly received through those food program. The blog also picks up on headlines about hunger in America.
It’s on my “national blogs” blogroll now.

Hey,
Just wanted to give you a shout out for posting about the Food Stamps Cooking Club Blog; I too follow Connie as she shares great tips, techniques and information on feeding families frugally!
You have great taste in blogs. Her blog is intended to help families eat healthy with the food items that they have at their disposal. She does this with style and dignity for those who are forced to live on tight budgets. Thank you for shedding a light on her blog.

One great way is to cook a large quantity of your favorite dish, for example, make a casserole or stew and freeze individual-size servings. Then take out only the amount of food you need.

Thanks for the shout out and blog love, guys. The Food Stamps Cooking Club hopes to be helping people who really need a hand up…and the exciting news is that our offline cooking class is going to be “engineered” with the help of Chef Shawn Bucher of “The First Timer’s Cookbook!”
Can you say ‘EXCITED?’
Keep up the good work, Paula. The info you share is critical for people to have in this economic climate!
Hugs
Mother Connie
