A low-cost spay and neuter clinic will be held in April 11 in Gibraltar, Mich.

This event is hosted by Basil’s Buddies. Advance registration and payment is required by one of two registration events, 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday March 13, or 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday March 21, at PetSmart, 23470 Allen Rd., Woodhaven, Mich.

Owners should bring the animals to the registration times. The prices are:

• Cat neuter – $40.
• Cat spay – $50.
• Dog 75 pounds and smaller, spay or neuter – $80.
• Dog over 75 pounds, spay or neuter – $100.

For senior animals, there will be an additional $10 charge for medical treatment to ensure the safety of the animal. Senior is cats that are 10 years old, dogs less than 40 pounds that are 10 years old, and dogs 40 pounds and larger that are 7 years old.

Puppies must have at least one parvo vaccine before this clinic.

For low-income individuals, Basil’s Buddies has partnered with PAWS of Michigan, which may be able to provide financial assistance. PAWS representatives will be available at registration to answer questions about grants.
