Tools from the Consumer Credit Counseling team
A lot of budgeting programs and tools available to the public. Which one is the best? Why, it’s the one that works for your family.
That’s why I post links to a variety of programs and resources – one may fit your family circumstances, lifestyle or math skills (!) better than another.
The National Federation for Credit Counseling has some easy-to-use online resources on its Consumer Tools page. There’s a budget worksheet that includes more household budget categories than are often seen on such things (so you don’t forget anything), calculators for debt repayment and podcasts on credit counseling services.
NFCC member agencies include GreenPath Debt Solutions in southeast Michigan. GreenPath branch offices include locations in Monroe, Ann Arbor and Taylor. The agency has hosted or participated in several financial education programs during the past couple of years in Monroe County.
