Salsa Day July 31 at Dundee Farmer’s Market
This post is for my readers in and near Dundee, Mich.:
Dundee Farmers Market on M-50 in downtown Dundee has declared Saturday as “Salsa Day” at the market. The market is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day.
Georgeann Brown will give a demonstration at 10 a.m. on how to make “Roasted Corn Salsa” and “Cucumber Salsa.” At 11 a.m., she will make “Tomato Provencal” and “Avocado and Mango Salsa.” Recipes will be provided after the demonstrations.
Market vendors will feature fresh salsa ingredients, and some will share their favorite fresh salsa recipes.
Guitarist and singer Tim Evans will provide entertainment during the morning.
A special canning day with free pressure gauge testing will take place at the market on August 14.
Be sure to check my list of farmer’s markets in Monroe County, Mich., which includes the hours, dates, and web sites when available.
