Applebees announces its 2013 Veteran’s Day thank you
Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar will continue its annual tradition of serving free meals to current and former military service members on Vetran’s Day.
During regular business hours on Nov. 11, veterans and active duty military can choose from a free dine-in menu that includes a 7-ounce sirloin, bacon cheddar cheeseburger and fiesta lime chicken. Guests will be asked for proof of service such as military ID or retiree card, veteran’s organization card, DD-214 or similar proof.
In addition, the restaurant chain is partnering with The Mission Continues to promote veteran-led community service throughout the year. Those who would like to send thank you messages as part of that project can do so at www.thankyoumovement.com. Applebee’s will track the communities that deliver the most thank you messages and schedule a concert for veterans with recording artist Gavin DeGraw for the “most thankful neighborhood”.
