Michigan government shutdown = 2 hours
Yes, the Michigan state government did shut down at midnight this morning. However, it’s back in business now.
A combination of bills have been going through the statehouse, and some of it is actually on a temporary 30-day budget. Here are the headlines from the reporters who have been following the details:

Furlough days coming for state employees
Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm has proposed, and the state legislators approved today, budget cuts that include furlough days for state employees and layoffs of 100 state troopers.
