Some Rheem tankless water heaters might have filters that clog and pose a threat of carbon monoxide poisoning.
About 42,000 such water heaters are being recalled.

Brands affected by voluntary recall: Rheem, Ruud, Rheem-Ruud, Paloma, and Richmond. Only tankless power vent 199,900 BTU, indoor models are recalled. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
